Super Bowl MVP Odds: Top individual Eagles players with best chances to win

Who are you betting on?

I’m admittedly getting ahead of myself here, but I can’t help but wonder who might be the Super Bowl Mvp if the Philadelphia Eagles actually defeat the New England Patriots in this year’s big game.

Bovada only fueled my thoughts by releasing 2018 Super Bowl Mvp Odds. Here’s a look at the top individual Eagles players listed.

Eagles Super Bowl MVP odds

1 - Nick Foles 13/4

2 - Jay Ajayi 18/1

3 - Zach Ertz 18/1

4 - Alshon Jeffrey 20/1

5 - LeGarette Blount 40/1

5 - Fletcher Cox 40/1

7 - Nelson Agholor 50/1

7 - Jake Elliott 50/1

9 - Torrey Smith 75/1

10 - Corey Clement 100/1

11 - Nigel Bradham 200/1

11 - Trey Burton 200/1

11 - Ronald Darby 200/1

11 - Brandon Graham 200/1

11 - Corey Graham 200/1

11 - Malcolm Jenkins 200/1

11 - Mychal Kendricks 200/1

11 - Rodney McLeod 200/1

11 - Jalen Mills 200/1

11 - Patrick Robinson 200/1

You can also take the “field” at 20/1, which includes any player in the game not individually listed in the odds.

Who will win?

Nick Foles is the obvious choice since he’s a quarterback. But it’s not always the quarterback who wins Super Bowl MVP. In the 13 Super Bowls dating back to when the Eagles lost in 2004, five non-quarterbacks have won. Three of those five were wide receivers, one was a linebacker, and one was an edge rusher.

It’s difficult to bet on a single Eagles skill player to have a big day since they spread the ball around in the passing attack and use a running back rotation in the ground game. That’s part of what makes the Eagles’ offense hard to defend.

It’s cool to see Fletcher Cox listed as the top defensive player in the odds. The problem with betting on him is he usually makes an impact in a way that goes beyond numbers, which won’t get him MVP.

Nelson Agholor might be an interesting bet given his odds. Wouldn’t it just fit the way this season is going if the once-sure-fire bust became Super Bowl MVP? Plus he’ll be matched up against some nickel cornerback named Eric Rowe, who has graded out as one of PFF’s worst cornerbacks this year, for what it’s worth.

It’s possible Jake Elliott hits a 69-yard game-winning field goal in a dome, right?

Of the guys listed at 200/1, I’m intrigued by Brandon Graham. I could see him showing up in a big spot like this.
