Here’s a breakdown of the snap counts from the Philadelphia Eagles’ 15-10 win over the Atlanta Falcons in the Divisional Round of the 2018 NFL Playoffs.

OFFENSE

The starting offensive line played the entire game (except for one snap missed by Stefen Wisniewski) and kicked ass.

The Eagles’ running back rotation didn’t really change from how it was in the regular season. Here’s a breakdown of Snaps and touches.

Jay Ajayi: 43% snaps, 15 carries for 54 yards (3.6 average) and 1 fumble, 3 receptions for 44 yards

LeGarrette Blount: 30% snaps, 9 carries for 19 yards (2.1 average) and 1 touchdown

Corey Clement: 24% snaps, 1 carry for 5 yards (5.0 average), 5 receptions for 31 yards

In Blount’s last six games, he’s logged 45 rushing attempts for 127 yards and 1 TD. That’s a 2.82 average. And it’s not like he’s a factor as a pass catcher. The Eagles should give more of his snaps to Ajayi and Clement.

Nice to see Mack Hollins had a role in the offense.

The Eagles went heavy on the offensive line a few times by bringing in Isaac Seumalo as an extra tackle.

DEFENSE

Jim Schwartz really likes to rotate his defenive linemen. In the regular season, at least. In the postseason, it’s a different story, as it should be. Get your best players playing the most snaps at possible. That was the case with Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox Playing 90% of the Eagles’ defensive snaps on Saturday night.

One area where the rotation still existed: Tim Jernigan only played a few more snaps than Beau Allen. Jernigan has been battling some nagging injuries this so maybe that’s the explanation for that? Kind of a quiet second half of the season for Big Money Tim. Also have to consider the Eagles like to play some of their defensive ends at defensive tackle in obvious passing situations.

Patrick Robinson and Corey Graham got a decent amount of playing time in various Eagles subpackages.

Dannell Ellerbe played 37% of the Eagles’ snaps despite being ruled questionable to play due to hamstring injury. He recorded two solo tackles.

With Graham and Vinny Curry getting more playing time, Chris Long and Derek Barnett didn’t play as much. It used to be about a 55-45 split but now it’s closer to 70-30.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Bryan Braman was responsible for the muffed punt that set up the Falcons’ only touchdown drive. He redeemed himself, however, with a tipped punt. The ball only traveled 22 yards, which allowed Philadelphia a chance at a field goal drive before the end of the first half.

The Eagles decided to keep Rasul Douglas active over Sidney Jones. Some thought Jones might have a role in the playoffs but it appears that won’t be the case. Not unreasonable considering he only returned to the active roster in Week 17.

Jake Elliott nailed a clutch 53-yard field goal but missed a chip shot extra point attempt. That’s Jake Elliott in a nutshell.
