Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce believes Jose Mourinho will bring glory back to Manchester United.

United legend Bruce was a Premier League champion three times and also boasts a hat-trick of FA Cups and a European Cup Winners’ Cup to his name.

Bruce said: “From the outside looking in, you can just see that Jose has got that mentality and a side exactly the same where they are difficult to beat, difficult to play against.

“There’s a certain resilience and he’s starting to put his stamp on the club. He’s a good fit at Old Trafford.

“Already he has won trophies and he will be really disappointed if he doesn’t get another from the way they played against Celta Vigo in the first leg of the Europa League semis.

“I thought they were in complete control and I would put my money on them winning the return leg and lifting the Europa League trophy.

“Jose is going to be there for years and that’s a major plus for the club, the players and the supporters with United heading back to the Champions League.”
