The Pitt Boss Strikes Again: Tackle Josh Braun Commits To The ‘Dawgs

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor cover of night will prevent Sam Pittman from bringing the best Offensive line talent to Athens.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one, but elite offensive Tackle Josh Braun committed to the Georgia Bulldogs tonight over his home state Florida Gators. Braun also counted offers from schools like Auburn, Florida State, Miami, and Michigan. The massive 6’6, 335 pound offensive tackle has been rising up recruiting boards this spring.

He’s currently the #25 offensive tackle in the nation and the #286 overall prospect in the 247Sports rankings, but Braun has a combination of nimble feet and prototype size that can’t be taught. He’s also got a solid pedigree, as his two older brothers, Trey and Parker, played offensive line at Georgia Tech (Parker will be a grad transfer at Texas this season).

With this twelfth commitment for the 2020 class the ‘Dawgs have strengthened their hold on the #4 ranking in the country. Look for the Pitt Boss to bring in at least one more offensive lineman in this class, and possibly two. With Isaiah Wilson and Andrew Thomas both potential first round NFL picks as juniors, UGA has both results to sell up front and the chance to vie for playing time on perhaps the best top-to-bottom offensive line in America. Until later...

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
