Pair of Bulldogs among early Heisman favorites

College football is dead. Long live college football!

The 2017 season may be barely in the books, but it’s not too early to start thinking about 2018. Apparently folks in Vegas are already thinking about Jake Fromm. The rising sophomore opened as the favorite for the 2018 Heisman Trophy at 10/1 odds. Given the prevailing narrative for much if the season that Fromm was a liability, this should be deeply satisfying for Georgia fans.

Just as interesting is the fact that UGA tailback D’Andre Swift is among the trio of players right behind Fromm at 14/1 (he’s joined by Penn State QB Trace McSorley and Wisconsin tailback Jonathan Taylor). Personally I have a hard time believing Swift will pry enough carries away from other Red and Black tailbacks to put up Heisman-worthy numbers. But I’d love to be proven wrong. Until later....

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
