NFL Draft 2017: Time, TV, How to watch

The NFL draft kicks off this evening live from Philadelphia with very little anticipated Georgia Bulldog involvement. Isaiah McKenzie is the most likely first ‘Dawg off the board. But it is unlikely that we will hear his name called until at least the third round unless a team decides to take a flyer on the little guy’s outsided athleticism.

It's tempting to look at the lack of UGA players tabbed to go early in the draft and say “that's what happens when you only have enough talent to go 8-5.” But the flipside of that argument is that had Nick Chubb, Sony Michel, Davin Bellamy, Lorenzo Carter, and Dominick Sanders not chosen to come back for their senior seasons, Georgia might very well have had several players with first or second round potential. Take into account those players as well as a number of draft-eligible juniors and redshirt sophomores (Trent Thompson, Roquan Smith, Natrez Patrick, and Terry Godwin for example) and it's likely that Georgia will be very well represented in the 2018 draft. Hopefully, that will only take place after a 2017 season to remember.

Schedule:

Thursday 8:00 pm Eastern (Round 1)

Friday 7:00 pm Eastern (Rounds 2 & 3)

Sunday noon Eastern (Rounds 4-7)

How to Watch:

You have two television viewing choices, ESPN (at least what’s left of it) and the NFL Network. You can watch live on both networks, where Trey Wingo will be taking over for Chris Berman as the lead anchor for this year’s draft. Until later...

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
