The Spanish La-Liga is BACK!
A brand new season kicks off on Saturday, 20th August, 2016 with new players added to the Spanish League which means we will be expecting new skills – new heartbreaking moments packaged with great football all round Spain as the LA-LIGA returns a week after the English Premier League kicked off.
OK – lets get down to business and end this ranting.

The Spanish La-Liga supporting fans would be (as at today) enjoying the services of 482 great footballers from different countries round the globe as they all seek to win one or more individual accolades for themselves and most of all to win the preswtigious Spanish La-Liga title as a team.

The league size remains 20 teams, it has not changed like the UEFA Euro 2016.
|| Number of Foreigners in the League:
The Spanish La-Liga as at today has 203 foreign players which translates to 42.1% of the total number of players currently in the League. Argentina has more players in the La-liga with 30 players and of course Lionel Messi is among.

The League is ranked 1st (the best league in Europe) by UEFA with 82,428 points.

According to transfermarkt, the league is 26 years and 5 month old! since it was named Liga BBVA
|| Record League Champions:
Real Madrid is the league’s record champion, winning the league 32 times ~ can you beat that!?
|| Defending Champions:
The Camp Nou is the current home of the Spanish La-Liga trophy. FC Barcelona are the defending champions!
|| Most Valuable Player:
According to Transfermarkt stats, Lionel Messi is the league’s most valuable player ~ but he has not moved away from the club for God knows how long?
