Man United players unhappy with Alexis Sanchez’s work rate – report

Alexis Sanchez is becoming isolated at Manchester United after some of his new team-mates expressed their dissatisfaction with his poor work rate, according to a report in England.

The Sun is reporting that the Chile international is already under intense pressure at Old Trafford a mere 11 games into his Manchester United career.

The Red Devils signed Sanchez in a swap deal from Arsenal in the January transfer window as Henrikh Mkhitaryan completed a move to The Emirates.

Sanchez has only managed to score one goal in 11 appearances in all competitions so far, while the South American has struggled to have an impact on games.

The same article states that some of the Manchester United squad were particularly unhappy with Sanchez’s first-half performance in their 2-1 loss to Sevilla in the Champions League.

The story claims that Sanchez was confronted by some of his team-mates at half-time of the second leg over his failure to carry out his defensive duties.

According to the article in The Sun, the January signing was reminded that “standards are supposed to be higher” at Manchester United than Arsenal.

Sanchez is currently on international duty with Chile in Sweden as the former Barcelona striker looks to forget about his Manchester United struggles for a week or so.
