Photo: Alvaro Morata’s wife sends message to Chelsea star after Bournemouth winner

Alvaro Morata’s wife Alice Campello took to social media to send a heartfelt message to the striker after he struck the winner in the 2-1 League Cup victory over Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

The Spanish striker came off the bench to net the all-important goal after Dan Gosling had cancelled out Willian’s opener at Stamford Bridge in the quarter-final clash.

Willian had given Chelsea the lead in the 13th minute in west London when he tapped home Cesc Fabregas’ pass.

But Gosling netted in the 90th minute as it seemed that the tie would be heading towards extra-time.

However, Morata combined brilliantly with fellow substitute Eden Hazard just moments later to score and send Antonio Conte’s men through to the last four.

Morata and Campello recently revealed that they are expecting their first child together next year, and the striker’s girlfriend was clearly touched by the 25-year-old’s celebration of the winner at Stamford Bridge.

She posted the picture above on her personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “I’m dying of love #A.”

Morata will be hoping to start for Chelsea when the Blues return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime with a trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton.

The west London side are currently in third place in the Premier League table.
