Nathan Ake insisted that he was still reflecting on a positive season despite the disappointment of Chelsea’s FA Cup final loss to Arsenal on Saturday.

Ake was an unused substitute on Saturday as Arsenal claimed an impressive win over their local rivals at Wembley to end a disappointing campaign on a high.

Arsenal’s victory denied Chelsea the chance to win a domestic double in Antonio Conte’s first season in charge at the club.

However, the Blues were still celebrating after winning the Premier League title in impressive fashion this term.

Ake returned to Chelsea from his loan spell at Bournemouth back in January and the young defender insisted that there were still plenty of positives for the Blues to take from the campaign.

Ake posted the photos above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Wasn’t meant to be yesterday but still looking back on a good season with both @officialafcb and @chelseafc.

“Thank you for the support everyone. ⚽️ #cfc”
