Arsene Wenger has announced that his future is “not important” but insists that he remains fully committed to Arsenal as the speculation about the Frenchman continues.

The Frenchman’s situation has been a relentless source of uncertainty in recent weeks following his Arsenal side’s dramatic slump in form.

The Gunners have dropped down into sixth place in the Premier League table after losing four of their last five top-flight outings to leave their top-four hopes in tatters.

It remains to be seen whether Wenger will stay on at Arsenal beyond the summer, as his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season and he is yet to confirm his future.

However, Wenger has moved to reassure Arsenal fans that he will remain completely committed to the club for however long he remains in charge.

Speaking to beINSports, Wenger said: “The information is that I do not have any information to give.

“Regardless of how long I stay, I will be devoted and completely concentrated as long as I stay at the club for.

“In terms of how long is left, that is not important. I will always bring myself to do the best for the club.

“At the moment, we are dealing with a difficult period in terms of results and it is important to concentrate on ourselves to do better again.

“When you take time to reflect and to put things into perspective you see that we have two games in hand to play and a cup semi-final to prepare for.

“Our season will be decided by the way in which we respond to this difficult period.”

Arsenal return to Premier League action after the international break with a home clash against Manchester City next Sunday at The Emirates.
