Carmichael was full of Dookies yesterday and some of them were surprisingly AND ironically thin-skinned. Traditionally, Carolina and Dook trade certain chants with one another with Dookies chanting "Go To Hell Carolina, Go To Hell Carolina, Go to Hell Carolina" repeatedly with increasing speed near the end every game (including the games played against teams other than Carolina). And off course they chant "We're going to beat the hell out of you!" Then there's their infamous fight song which includes the lyrics "Car-o-lina Go To Hell, Eat Shit!" Now anyone who has song the Carolina fight song knows that we insert a loud "Go To Hell Dook!" and "Go To Hell State!" Imagine my surprise when the Dookies sitting next to me took exception to that. Ironically they starting complaining to me about the use of the word "Hell" as the Dook Fans behind the bench were shout "Ass ... Holes" when we were doing our "Tar ... Heels!" chant. They made sure everyone knew what they were saying by making an "O" shape with their arms. Ok, I don't mind that; it's college. And to be fair when the Heels play at Cameron we try to return the favor. I've been at football games and women's basketball games when the crowd was so full of Carolina fans that they succeeded in taking over the place. I wouldn't like that either so turn around is fair play I figure. But what I do mind are the thin-skinned hypocritical Dook fans (or any opposing school's fans) who come to OUR HOUSE and tell us to sit down and shut up. I'm sorry but if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen. I have quite a few Dookie friends who questioned whether these people were indeed Dook fans. To them, they were idiots who just didn't "get it." Good grief, the irony of having to listen to the Dook fans shout "Eat Shit!" and the rest of it in our house while they complain about us chanting back "Go To Hell Dook!" is astounding. I not at all ashamed for my yelling that at them. I guess the Devils made me do it.
