March 4 Roundup

Fast Break Segment 2
Currently: 1528 pts, 74.0%, 4876 rank

Today's lineup:
C. Billups, 16.4 value
D. Wade, 19.3 value
R. Jefferson, 15.7 value (not many choices at this position)
C. Bosh, 18.3 value
S. O'Neal, 16.0 value
Detroit, 6.5 value

Yesterday's results:
G. Arenas, 17.8 value, 23.5 avg (26 pts)
K. Bryant, 19.3, 27.8 (28 pts)
S. Marion, 20.2, 29.4 (23 pts)
E. Brand, 20.0, 29.8 (34 pts)
Y. Ming, 17.6, 23.0 (25 pts)
Clippers, 4.2, 2.9 (0 pts)
Total: 136 pts against an average of 136.4

This game is tough in Segment 2. I'm putting up solid numbers, but not gaining any ground in the rankings. Through the first 5 days of the week, I have 688 points. That's quite good normally, but it's only gained me a few percentage points. It all boils down to who picks the cream of the cream on each day.

Hard Court Pickem
Currently: 103 pts, 88.4%, 3783 rank

Yesterday: LA Lakers over Golden State (H) - Correct
Today: Detroit over LA Lakers (H) - Detroit is rested, LA is playing for 2nd time in 2 days.

Stock Car Challenge
Currently: 1375 pts, 96.9%, 3209 rank

This weekend - Las Vegas Motor Speedway
I haven't solidfied my picks yet. However, right now it looks like I'll use the same lineup as last week. I don't normally plan on doing that, but I like my guys at Vegas. I have:

C. Edwards, Locked at 24.6, now 24.8
M. Kenseth, locked at 24.1, now 24.4
J. McMurray, locked at 20.6, now 20.9
K. Kahne, locked at 17.2, now 17.7
R. Gordon, locked at 13.4, now 14.0
Locked at 99.9, 101.8 current value

I like the Roush drivers again this week. Kenseth has 2 Vegas wins and finished 8th last year. Edwards finished 14th in his only start here, but does well on 1.5 mile tracks. McMurray has two straight top-15s, and is driving well for Roush this year. Kahne finished 38th last year due to a wreck, but did lead the race before that. Robby is my boy. T. Stewart would be a good pick, with 4 straight top-10 finishes at Vegas, but he costs too much for my roster (26.2).

Best Ball Challenge
Currently: 807 pts, 98.9%, 252 rank

Ford Championship at Doral Lineup through Day 2

P. Mickelson, tied for the lead at -13
T. Woods, tied with Phil for the lead
J. Holmes, shoots -1 and +2, misses the cut
C. Riley, shoots -5 and +3, and also misses the cut
Currently at -25, good enough for 75% in this tournament.

With only two players going Saturday and Sunday, I'll probably finish worse than 75%. Even though they're Phil and Tiger, it always helps to have more golfers on the course.

BASS Fantasy Fishing
Currently: 452 pts, 75.5%, 3019 rank

BASS Super Six
Currently: 18 pts, 67.1%, 2443 rank
