Who will win the Conference Semis?

Tags: series

The NBA Playoffs are in full swing. There have been a lot of upsets coming into the first few games of the Conference Semi-Finals. Out of these teams, who has the best chance of coming out and being 1 of 2 teams to represent their conference in both the East and the West?

We'll take a look and break down some of these matchups.

Boston Celtics over the Miami Heat? I do not think that this will happen. The Celtics are already down 2-0 in that series going back to Boston. The do have experience under their belt, but I honestly think that the loss of size and rebounding down low with the absense of Kendrick Perkins will hurt them in this series. Miami is way too much for Boston. Dwyane Wade had 38 in the first game with LeBron adding 35 points last night, they have way too many threats on options on the offensive side of the ball. Heat win in 5 or 6 games.

Atlanta Hawks over the Chicago Bulls? No one is really talking about this series. I think the Hawks have a legitimate shot to win this series. Joe Johnson, Jamal Crawford along with Horford inside pose a real threat to the Bulls. If they can contain Derrick Rose to less than superstardom and triple-doubles in this series, I see that the Hawks could come out on top in this series. Boozer and Rose are both battling injuries and could be hobbled in the next couple games. If Atlanta steals both first games in Chicago this series could get ugly fast. Watch out for the Hawks.

Dallas Mavericks over the Los Angeles Lakers? Maybe. This series has already shifted the home court advantage in the favor of the Mavericks after stealing game 1 in the series, beating the Lakers in a close game. I don't know what to make of this. It all depends on which Dallas Maverick team shows up for the remainder of the series. They could be great and play physical and nail all the shots that they are supposed to like they did in Game 1, or they could totally be dominated on the interior and let Kobe go nuts. Nothing is ever over when you have a player like Kobe Bryant on your team, and that is why I am not quite sure on this one. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that LA wins tonight and wins the series in 6 games.

Grizzlies over the Thunder? Not gunna happen. Here is why: The Grizzlies have never won a playoff series, let alone a playoff game in their whole franchise history. I like how the Grizz play, they are young and athletic and have a superstar on their team named Zach Randolph. That being said, they do not have the experience needed to go into Oklahoma City and win the games they need to. I think the slipper ends up not fitting this year for the Memphis Grizzlies. Serge Ibaka can D up Randolph down the stretch, and Kevin Durand and Russell Westbrook win put up the numbers they need in order to win this series. I got the Thunder in 6.

Two games are on tonight. Bulls/Hawks first, and then LAL/Dallas as the late game.

The NBA Playoffs are getting interesting.
