Will Barcelona Flog Another Player To China For Huge Money?

Just when it seems that Barcelona’s transfer plans have been thwarted by a lack of funds, the Club somehow finds a Chinese club willing to massively overplay for one of their players.

Barcelona have a history of negotiating with Chinese clubs, having bought Paulinho from Guangzhou Evergrande, before selling him back for €50m.

Now the La Liga leaders are said to be pondering over the sale of forward Malcom following a €65m offer from an unnamed China club.

The 21-year-old has struggled for playing time since his €41m arrival from Bordeaux this summer, and has played just 296 minutes across the league, domestic cups and Champions League so far this season, with boss Ernesto Valverde opting to put his faith elsewhere.

There was a positive moment last week, though, when the youngster netted in the club’s 4-1 Copa del Rey victory over minnows Cultural Leonesa.

He has played in nine different matches for Barcelona this season, but has only enjoyed one La Liga start and is keen to up his minutes in 2019.

The player is said to desire more first-team minutes and this would be the main driving force behind his move to the Far East, where he would earn a comparable wage to his current deal.
