Champions League T20 match delayed by one hour due to bomb scare

NEW DELHI: The Champions League T20 league match between Victoria Bushrangers and Cape Cobras has been delayed by one hour after an under-22 cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir staying at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore was arrested by the Bangalore police in connection with a suspected presence of explosives at the venue.
There are two matches scheduled to be held on Saturday at the venue but Police have said they will be played only after a thorough check of the ground. Police have categorically asked both the teams playing the first game, Cape Cobras and Victoria, to remain at their hotel until the search is over.

Meanwhile, the spectators are being allowed to enter into the venue after stern checks. The first match was due to start at 4.00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST) but now it will start at 5 PM. provided everything goes fine as far as the security is concerned.
