Henrik Stenson followed his second place finish in Abu Dhabi last week with victory at the Commercialbank Qatar Masters at Doha GC. The victory takes Stenson into the World Top 20 for the first time as he jumps 9 places to World Number 19. Elsewhere, second placed Paul Broadhurst moves up 22 places to World Number 62.

World Number One Tiger Woods retained his Buick Invitational title when he overcame Nathan Green and Jose Maria Olazabal in a sudden death playoff after the trio had tied on 10 under par. Woods extends his lead at the top of the Official World Golf Ranking to 7.64 average points. Green climbs 110 places to World Number 143 while Olazabal’s improvement is 6 places to World Number 24.

The 2006 Nationwide Tour got underway this week with the Movistar Panama Championship and it was Tripp Isenhour who came out on top. The win takes him up to World Number 389, an improvement of 694 places.
