Many people ask me where the Toilet Bowl is and what is it.
The Toilet Bowl has been described as a natural spa that gently rises and falls with the tide. However, in reality it is a hole that fills up when waves rush in through an underground tunnel and empties when water flushes out through the tunnel. In rough surf the force is very strong and sucks people into the tunnel and bangs them up. Many people have been hurt there and some people have died.
It is closed now, which makes the lifeguards happy because they had to run down there often and rescue people and bandage them up. The Toilet Bowl is located to the far left of the bay around the corner. It can not be seen from the beach.
