The Pittsburgh Steelers 2017 preseason schedule has been released.
The New York Giants will be the first opponent Pittsburgh Steelers put on pads and a uniform for in the 2017 season.
Pittsburgh will visit the Giants to open the preseason, the team announced Monday as preseason opponents were released.
No times or dates were set — just the order and locations of games. All will be broadcast locally on KDKA-TV.
The Steelers will continue their mini-tradition of finishing up against the Carolina Panthers in what is usually a game of rest for starters and a last-chance proving ground for roster hopefuls.
Pittsburgh will also host the Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts, who the Steelers will face in the regular season for the fourth year in a row. The Steelers hosted the Philadelphia Eagles in the preseason before suffering a blowout loss against them in Week 3 last year.
Week 3 is typically the week in which teams, especially veteran-heavy contenders like the Steelers, use their first-choice players the most.
Here is the Steelers’ 2017 Preseason Schedule:
Week 1 – At New York Giants, Date/Time TBD.
Week 2 – Vs. Atlanta Falcons, Date/Time TBD.
Week 3 – Vs. Indianapolis Colts, Date/Time TBD.
Week 4 – At. Carolina Panthers, Date/Time TBD.
