Los Blaugranas struggled to score goals against their neighbors, but eventually gained access to the tournament's semi-finals.

Barcelona will return to the Copa del Rey semi-finals after beating Espanyol for the tenth straight two-legged tie in a row.

Los Blaugranas survived a couple of scares to make it to the final four teams in the competition, especially after Luis Suárez and Lionel Messi scored today's goals for Los Blaugranas.

Needless to say, Messi's performance was crucial for the team, as both goals came after he recovered loose balls near Espanyol's box, making way for Suárez's opener and his goal before the 30th-minute mark.

Messi's goal helped Barcelona book their spot in the semis, and also became the 4000th goal scored by Los Blaugranas at Camp Nou Stadium. Furthermore, the left-footed shot sealed a new milestone in this competition for the Catalan team.
