Premier League predictions: Tottenham and Chelsea to draw, Wolves to win

This Premier League weekend is about sustainability. The tops teams are expected to show that they can keep winning games, while some the bottom ones will clash one another and if one of them wins, it will feel like winning 6 points.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Leicester City

Brighton have had a good un of three wins which ended with an away loss at Goodison Park, followed by another loss at Cardiff. Now The Seagulls will welcome Leicester City who are 3 points above them in the table. Leicester aren’t a team who draws to many games, at least not this season. They have won 3 tiles on their visits and lost three games. Brighton have won most of their this fixture is a chance for Brighton to point at home where they won 3 times, drawn tics and lost on1 fixture.

This game is a chance for Brighton to win and keep their mid-table position. However, they failed to do that last season and lost 0:2 to Leicester.

Draw: 1:1

Everton vs Cardiff City

Since their 1:3 home loss against West Ham on 16th of September, Everton have lost only two away games – in London against Arsenal and in Manchester against Man United. They are just 1 points behind the 6th laced Bournemouth and I think that they will keep progressing under Marco Silva’s leadership.

Cardiff city have improved and won twice within the last five games – against Fulham and Brighton. Both wins came at home for them, however. I think that they will give it a try, but Everton should be able to win this game.

Everton to win: 3:1

Fulham vs Southampton

The last League game between those teams was in 2014 and Southampton won it. They haven’t lost a game against Fulham for more than a decade. On top of that the Saints are not a bad team on their visits and now they play against a team who has just just fired their manager and appointed a new one. The new name sounds more than respectful, as it is Claudio Ranieri. However, even the best football managers cannot transform a team overnight. However, I think that Fulham will get a point from this fixture.

Draw: 1:1

Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace are going down at the moment, but even if they weren’t, Manchester united are too good for them. This is one of those games which United will win even if they are supposed to play on an empty Old Trafford and without a manager. So, with all the respect to the Eagles those are another 3 points for the Jose Mourinho’s team. I don’t say that it will be easy, but United should win this home fixture.

Man United to win: 3:0

Watford vs Liverpool

Liverpool lost one, drawn one and won one on they last 3 visits to Vicarage Road. The Hornets haven’t give Jurgen Klopp a warm welcome and shortly after he has taken on at Anfield, his formation lost 3:0 on their visit to Watford. Now Reds are a different animal and if they want to keep going in the title race, they should win this game. Watford have been a bit inconsistent after the middle of September. They have started the season on high, but then drawn against Fulham and lost against Bournemouth and Newcastle. Bournemouth have beaten them at Vicarage Road 0:4 and I think that Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool players should watch this game and find out what the Cherries did.

Liverpool haven’t lost in the Premier League so far this season and dropped points only against Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal. However they weren’t good enough on their visits in the Champions league and during their game against Red Star in Belgrade in particular. Watford could try to exploit some weaknesses that Reds show in the midfield and on the flanks from time to time. If they want to get anything of this game they need to open the scoresheet and then keep pressing Liverpool. However, I don’t think that Liverpool will fall into the same trap, as they did in Belgrade. All they need is their strikers to rediscover their form from the last season and they will be good.

Liverpool to win: 1:2

West Ham United vs Manchester City

Manchester City have score 13 goals in their last three away games against West Ham – 8 of them in tow Premier League games. I don’t need to ask the question “Do you believe that the Hammers can get something out of this fixture?”, do I? The answer would be simply “No” and I believe that Pep Guardiola’s team will find a way to win at London Stadium.

West Ham have improve their performance under Manuel Pellegrini, but I don’t seen them holding Man city even to a draw. City have two formations who can fight for the Premier League title, this is how good they are.

Manchester City to win: 1:3

Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea FC

Spurs have won two, drawn two and lost two games ate some against Chelsea within that last six time they have welcomed the Blues at home. This say all about the level of predictability of this game. It is going to a huge battle and honestly I would not suggest anyone to place a bet on any of the teams, unless one has a vision. But if one has it they would probably not read those projections, don’t they.

I think that Chelsea are a little bit better team in the middle of the pitch and should be able to control the tempo of this game. For that they should not stay too deep in their half and should not rely on counter attacks only. If they surrender the ball to Spurs and rely on counterattacks the Blues will suffer.

The individual brilliant and contribution of the start players in both team will be crucial in this the game. I don’t see Spurs loosing as they did against Manchester City, but I also don’t think that Chelsea will drop another 3 points. I’ll go for a draw

Draw: 1:1

Bournemouth Vs Arsenal

If there’s a team out of the top 4 who can stop Arsenal it is Bournemouth. The Cheries won against ARsene Wenger led Gunners by 2:1 last season. They were unhappy to loose 1:2 agains Manchester united with a stoppage time goal scored by Marcus Rashford and then lost on their visit to St. James’s Park. Now, the Eddie Howe’s players will be very motivated against Arsenal.

The Gunners have won only 4 points more than Bournemouth so far this season and if they will at Dean Court this weekend, this will mean that Unai Emery has assembled a team who is capable of competing for the top 4. As Tottenham and Chelsea play one another it is a Chance for the Gunners to close the gap to their London rivals.

Arsenal to win: 1:2

Wolves vs Huddersfield

I fancy Wolves to win this game, simply because they are a very ambitious team full of gifted players. They have lost their tow previous home games – 2:3 against Tottenham and a 0:2 against Watford, a loss which was a bit of a surprise.  Wolves are still not that strong and tat consistent so we’d count on them to win many games in a row in the Premier League. they have a good chance beat the struggling Terriers, who have the worst attack in the league.

Huddersfield scored only 6 goals in 12 games, so far this season. Four of those goals were on their away games and helped them win 2 points, however. So, if Wolves are about to win this fixture they need to attack a lot and score more than 2 goals.

Wolves to win: 3:1

Burnley vs Newcastle

Burnley won 1, drawn 1 and lost 3 games at home. Newcastle have drawn 3 and lost 3 as a traveling side. My feeling is that after drawing on their visit to Southampton and then winning 2 games in the row at home, now the Rafael Benitez let team has got some ground and will be more competitive side. It looks to me that the Magpies can get a point at Burnley.

Draw: 1:1
