The Uefa Champions League final is already hyped up well with two great teams lock horns in the 2016/2017 edition of this prestigious trophy on June 4th at Cardiff.

The match is much anticipated by fans all over the world and as usual, predictions have already started putting their money on both these European giants. We all know how well both these teams can perform on a big stage like this and have already witnessed it several times over the past few years. A Recent example is Real Madrid winning the La Decima and Juventus reaching the Finals of the tournament in 2015.

We all know Real Madrid are in an excellent run of form this season and are very much capable of putting their hand on the trophy once again.
But, here we discuss various ways by which The Old Lady can get through Los Blancos and get their hands on the trophy


The Defensive Masterclass of Juventus

This is the defensive pillars of Juventus Bonucci and Chiellini are in fine form and top teams have been unable to bypass it during this season.

This defensive partnership has a very good record this season and have the most number of clean sheets in Europe and only allowed 3 goals prior to the final.They are much solid than the Real Madrid backline and also good in the air.Their defensive masterclass against Real's fierce rivals Barcelona is a recent example of it conceding no goals over the tie of two legs.

So the Real Madrid front three will have a tough time breaching the defensive wall and will have to do something special to get a shot on the goal. To counter that fact, Real Madrid has a scoring streak that they scored against every opponent they faced this season. The tie suddenly became a lot more interesting, isn't it?


The Real Madrid defense

Yes, the Real Madrid defense has so many holes that Juventus might be able to bypass them easily with the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala

Real Madrid defense has been so inconsistent this season as many times various teams found easy to find the back of the net against the Los Blancos.

This might be one reason for Juventus to be happy about facing Real Madrid and could take advantage of this situation. Max Allegri was able to take over from Antonio Conte and able to test the same formation for some time, the well renowned 3-5-2 system with the BBC of Juventus in the back.This was a very good system for some cases but not effective as always.So, he changed the system and made it a 4-2-3-1 with changing the roles of various players such as Mandzukic and Dybala.

This has proved to be a lot better formation if the attack is the priority with both the full backs Dani Alves and Alex Sandro charging forward. This also ensures a free role to Dybala so that he can play behind Higuain and create problems for the opposition. But for the more attacking side, he chooses the 3-4-2-1 formation with Higuain as the sole striker with Mandzukic and Dybala behind him.This was tested against Monaco as they were a greater attacking threat.

This either formation can be chosen by Max Allegri but he will mostly prefer the 4-2-3-1 formation as it gives more fluidity to the game. The might be happy to sit back and defend and try to hurt Real Madrid on the counter similar to the game vs Barcelona.

The recent encounters between both these teams have occurred many times during the past years and the result is not so pleasing for the Los Blancos. Taking the past five meetings between these clubs shows Juventus have a better chance to win against Real Madrid with Juventus winning the four out of five meetings between the clubs.

Real Madrid was able to win only once during 2013 when they go on to win the Champions League.The most recent encounter was in 2015 during which Juventus beat Real Madrid in the semifinals of the competition to a score of Juventus 2 - 1 Real Madrid at home and a 1-1 draw away at Madrid going to the finals.

This might be a psychological boost for the players of Juventus and will try to do everything to win the competition.
