The Ultimate Adventure Stag Do

Stag Activities Newquay

A Stag do is a man’s rite of passage – it is the last tango in Paris, the last supper – whatever you want to call it, it is meant to be an epic event from which you can create memories that will last a lifetime. The typical stag-do involves heading out into town for a night of drinks and frivolities – whilst this is a perfectly acceptable way to celebrate your impending marriage, why not do something different? Why not organise a Newquay stag do packed with wilderness, adventure and activities!

Newquay is one of the best locations in the UK for a stag do weekend. Where else in the country can you enjoy beautiful sunshine, stunning beaches, amazing stag activities and an awesome nightlife?

Saturday Day – Surfing & Coasteering

After a night of nature, your body should be ready for what Saturday has to offer! Get ready for stag do surf lessons and coasteering – two of Cornwall’s finest adventure activities. Cornwall is a legendary place for surfing and you can get right in on the action with a stag do surfing lesson – you can jump into a wetsuit and see how you fare on the waves of Fistral Beach. Our instructors will guide you through the process and you will have a truly memorable time in the water – hopefully you can master the art and show off your surfing skills to the lads!

Once you have dried off and experienced the full force of the Cornish waves you can head on up to the cliffs to try your hand at coasteering. Coasteering is an experience like no other – you get the chance to scramble along the Cornish cliffs, swim in the salty waters, and even dive headlong from the tops into the depths below! Coasteering will test your teamwork, coordination, and also allow you to explore our coastal ecosystem close up and personal.

Saturday Night – The sesh

No Stag do Cornwall would be complete without a night out in Newquay – this is the destination for the ultimate stag do sesh. After a day of exhilarating activities, you can put on your finest suits (or maybe a dress for the stag?), head on into Newquay and let the fun commence! You will find a host of bars and clubs for your enjoyment and the atmosphere will be simply buzzing – the perfect end to your Cornwall adventure stag do!

Stag Do Accommodation

We’ve gathered 5 of the top stag-do friendly accommodations in Newquay. These establishments are all highly rated, and will gladly accept your business!

Sunnyside Hotel – The Crescent – TR7 1DT

This hotel has actually been rated one of the best value for money hotels in Newquay for 3 years! Sunnyside benefits from a marvellous location in the heart of Newquay – you are literally a stone’s throw from the Great Western Beach. In terms of accommodation, you can either take the budget option and stop in a private room with bunk beds. Alternatively, you can hire private sea view rooms. The quality is fantastic and the hosts know how to make stag do’s feel welcome!

Ocean Surf Lodge – Tower Road – TR7 1LX

Another fantastic budget option, Ocean Surf Lodge has such a cool vibe and an inviting décor. This establishment is located near the Gold Club and not far from Fistral Beach. The rooms are undoubtedly basic, but they are comfortable and have everything you will need for your stag do weekend. Furthermore, there is an awesome beer bar with an open terrace where you can sit back and enjoy a pint or two whilst mingling with the other guests. If you check through Trip Advisor, you will see that Ocean Surf Lodge has some glowing reviews.

Edge 14 – Edgcumbe Avenue – TR7 2NH

If you are looking for something a little more up-market, look no further than Edge 14. This hotel prides itself on being the only luxury accommodation in Newquay that accepts stag do bookings. This is a bold claim but Edge 14 delivers and their hotel is fantastic. The whole décor is ultra-modern, sleek and stylish and the rooms are furnished to a high standard. Moreover, there is a chill-out room and a fully equipped kitchen for all your needs. Finally, Edge 14 benefits from a great central location in-between Great Western Beach and Tolcarne Beach.

Smarties Surf Lodge – Crantock Street – TR7 1JW

This surfing lodge is tucked away in a quiet residential area not far from Newquay Golf Club and Fistral Beach. Within the accommodation, you can find a range of different rooms – from well-furnished doubles to clean and comfortable bunk dorms. The free beer on arrival is always a welcomed surprise, and the chef cooks a mean full English in the morning too! This really is a cool hotel and the prices are more than reasonable too. Finally, the Sandbar is a superb communal area and a great place to enjoy your breakfast or prepare for a night out!

MOR Lodge – Mount Wise – TR7 2BP
