A pitch invader’s attempt to gatecrash the World Cup final to advertise an adult website was cut short by on-the-ball stewards at Lords on Sunday.

The final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Lords on Sunday was temporarily halted by a Pitch invader trying to invade the pitch in an attempt to take centre stage. England and New Zealand were facing off in London with the biggest prize in cricket at stake. The woman was clad in a black outfit which had the writing ‘Vitaly Uncensored’ in white on it which is an adult website. The pitch invader was about to storm onto the pitch after managing to get over the barrier in front of the stands at Lords before she was cut short by attentive stewards present near the boundary.

The woman, identified as Elena Vulitsky, is the mother of YouTube prankster Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, whose girlfriend Kinsey Wolanski had earlier gone viral after she interrupted the Champions League final match between Liverpool and Tottenham in June 2019. Elena, however couldn’t be as successful as Wolanski after the stewards grabbed her before she could cross the boundary. In both instances, the women were sporting clothing with the advertisement for an adult website “Vitaly Uncensored” emblazoned across their dresses.

Earlier, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bat under an overcast sky after both sides retained the same XI from their contrasting semi-final victories. Liam Plunkett and Chris Woakes led a controlled bowling display as an impressive England attack restricted New Zealand to a below-par total of 241/8 in the final at Lord’s on Sunday. Henry Nicholls made 55 and Tom Latham scored 47 but England’s bowlers struck at crucial and regular junctures to deny the 2015 finalists any big partnerships.
