Manchester United have entered the race alongside Manchester City, Bayern Munich and even Barcelona for yet another Monaco starlet.
The 16-year-old defender has managed to catch the eye of some of Europe’s biggest clubs and all of them want his signature. Already been called yet another Monaco and France wonderkid, Benoit Badiashile has been tipped for a move away from France and the Ligue 1 despite being only 16 years old.

However, in his five appearances in the UEFA Youth League, Badiashile has been solid for Monaco and has impressed any scout watching him play. But despite that, the France international has yet to sign a professional contract with the Ligue 1 Champions and thus can be poached by any interested club including the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United.
Monaco has produced brilliant youngsters over the years, with the likes of Thierry Henry, Yannick Carrasco, Kylian Mbappe, Emmanuel Petit, and so many more. But according to reports from L’Equipe and Footmercato, the 16-year-old Benoit Badiashile could be among the best Monaco have and has even drawn comparisons to Barcelona star Samuel Umititi. The youngster has impressed for the French Under-16 teams, making 5 appearances in the process.
However, Manchester United have been interested in the 16-year old for quite some time now and even had a bid rejected by both Badiashile and the club during the summer transfer window. And not just that, but Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also tracking the youngster, along with Premier League mega-club Manchester City.
While the Citizens have had a rather quiet winter window, even losing out on Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United, Pep Guardiola’s side is closing in on a deal for Atletic Bilbao’s Ayermic Laporte after paying out his £60million release clause.

Benoit Badiashile is one for the future and its no surprise that the best in Europe are after him, as Monaco’s track record with great youngsters is all the data most clubs need. However, with the likes of Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester City and even Manchester United in the race, things will certainly get interesting and the winner will certainly get a brilliant defender for the future.
