Antoine Griezmann admitted in his biography that a move to Manchester United is a possibility.
Despite his poor form this season, Antoine Griezmann still remains one of the most sought-after strikers in world football. He has scored only 3 goals this season compared to the 9 he had at this stage last season. Such is Atleti’s dependency on him that his dip in form has adversely affected Rojiblancos’ goalscoring abilities. They have scored just 16 goals this season while both Barcelona and Valencia have broken the 30-goal barrier.
In an excerpt from his biography, Griezmann admitted that a move to Manchester United is ‘a possibility’. The Frenchman has signed a long-term contract in the summer and thus there is no obligation for Atleti to sell their star man. Also with United signing Lukaku, they won’t be pursuing Griezmann as aggressively as they did. However, the 26-year-old further reiterated the admiration he has for his team-mates and Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone.

He conceded that a move was in his thoughts but he decided to stay in Madrid. He said, “Although I might be missing out on titles, I have everything here to be happy but that does not mean that I won’t go one day.”

Griezmann has been the star for Los Rojiblancos since his move from Real Sociedad. He has proven himself at the top level and is approaching his 300th appearance in Spanish top flight. The Frenchman admitted that chances of a move to Old Trafford were ‘6 out of 10’. United are not the only club actively seeking the 26-year-old’s signature.
