Fantasy Premier League – 5 Differentials for Blank Gameweek 35

The FPL Chi takes a look at five players who have less than 5% ownership in Fantasy Premier League. These players can help you to do well in your mini leagues and win real money in the Sportito weekly game.

Week 35 sees managers face a number absentees due to scheduling and because of this, it’s a week that can make or break your season.

  1. Leighton Baines (Everton) 4.3%

Everton have a Monday night fixture at home against Newcastle and Leighton offers a chance to gain points from both ends of the pitch. A potential clean sheet and his attacking threat sees him as a worthy candidate, but the fact that he could be taking penalties means the player deserves a place in your team over his defensive team-mates.

  1. Ilkay Gündogan (Manchester City) 1.6%

The champions will play their first home game after being announced as league winners, following defeat of local rivals Manchester United to West Bromwich Albion. I can see the club wanting to put on a good display for home fans and Gündogan is also the designated penalty taker.

  1. James Milner (Liverpool) 2.5%

At the start of the season James was in many managers’s opening teams and was expected to make the left back position his own. This unfortunately didn’t transpire and he has had limited starts following the emergence of Andy Robertson. With the club still in the Champions League and a lack of options in the middle of the pitch, I’m expecting him to start (especially given that he’s played a part in the last ten league games). In addition to this, he could be the penalty taker depending upon what team the manager puts out.

  1. Alex Iwobi (Arsenal) 0.9%

Wenger was rumoured to be playing his Europa League side this weekend in order to help them gel and become better prepared. This, with the injury to Mkhitaryan and the doubts over Ramsey means that Alex should start and play the majority of the game. He has registered two assists in the last two games and will be playing in an advanced position. He will be wanting to put on a display for the manager (who’s announced his departure at the end of the season) and himself (to maintain his starting position).

  1. Cenk Tosun (Everton) 2.6%

Cenk had a tough start to life in the Premier League blanking in his opening four games that he featured in for his new club. This soon turned around and he scored four and assisted one in the next four games. He has since blanked in his last three games, but he did come up against Manchester City and Liverpool in those games. Everton are set-up with two attacking full backs and attacking wingers that could all play to the forwards strengths and help him to a big points haul this week. He also has a Monday night game at home.

*ownership correct as of late 20/04/18.
