Jack Sees Red And Young Talent Moving Away From The Club

Wilshere sees red

Jack Wilshere was sent off in his latest appearance for Arsenal’s U-23 side against Manchester City yesterday. After being on the receiving end of a heavy challenge the midfielder reacted and his push started a mass brawl. It was City defender Tyreke Wilson who then confronted Wilshere and both players grappled in the centre of the pitch. After the melee had calmed both the two were dismissed and play resumed. Arsenal won the game 4-3 but conceded two goals after the incident. The scuffle then continued into the tunnel and it is not yet known if the players involved will receive further action.

Young talent moving on:

Much of the news surrounding Arsenal in the early part of this week is younger Talent Moving away from the club. Be it on loan deals or permanently it does seem that the club are prepared to make a decision on the graduating prospects and decide if they have a future at the club. This apparent clear out could spark space in the squad for new talent to arrive in the coming weeks. While the wage budget will not be reduced too much, it could help make a small number of big deals happen in the coming days.

Hull in for Toral

Arsenal could be set to move another youngster from their senior side this week as Hull City are eyeing a move for Jon Toral. After a number of loan moves, most recently to Rangers last season, Toral could make a permanent move away. With Hull looking to bounce straight back to the Premier League this season they are looking to bolster their squad. A number of their talented players from last season have moved on and so replacing them will be key.

Pair move on loan to the Championship

Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall have joined Championship side Birmingham City on a season-long loan as Arsene Wenger looks to cut the squad size down. Jenkinson had made five appearances for the first team last season as cover for Hector Bellerin’s injury but missed the Gunners pre-season tour. It does call into question if the 25-year-old will be ready for a starting role at any point in the future. Bramall, however, does seem to have a future at the club after joining in January. He will be hoping to gain some valuable experience at Birmingham.

United among sides interested in McGuane

Manchester United are reportedly interesting in signing 18-year-old youth prospect Marcus McGuane from Arsenal. The youngster had been impressive for the U-23’s last season but is yet to make an appearance for the senior side. With only one year remaining on his current deal, he has sparked interest in some of Europe’s elite clubs including Juventus, Napoli, and the two Manchester sides.
