Plays picked up substantially on Friday with 7 plays going 4-3 for +.35 units.

We had a 1/2 unit regular side play on Phi -117 losing 4-5 and a 1/2 unit total on Houston Under 9-125 winning 2-1. In addition, there were 5 overnights: St Louis -117 winning 11-2, Miami +102 winning 5-0, Angels -115 losing  1-3, Cleveland -150 winning 8-1 and San Fran +104 losing 8-10.

So far today I have sent out 5 overnights. So today has the potential to be another high play day.

I received an email this morning that I feel is instructive for subscribers:

“You didn’t list pitching matchups for Sat overnights. Are these all action plays?”

My response:

“All listed pitchers from last night. When there are multiple games like this I list the plays alone as Twitter limits me to 2 games per tweet. I want to get them out as soon as possible before the lines start moving. Also, Pinnacle was slow to post opening lines yesterday which further complicated things.”

What I find interesting is that when most subscribers begin with me they are very skeptical about the need for a structured betting routine as a sports bettor. Then the subscribers that become long time subscribers typically send me an email indicating that they have found it to be the most important bits of advice they have gotten from my site.

I cannot stress this enough that unless you have a bet sizing routine in place you will fail as a sports bettor. Leaving your bet sizing up to the machinations of the human mind is a recipe for failure as a sports bettor. 

I have used this example before but it is an excellent analogy. When I was training to get my instrument pilot’s license years ago, the one thing that they stressed above all was that when your instruments disagreed with what your mind was telling you, In almost every instance believe the instruments! There are many a case where pilots have thought they were flying straight and level and flown their plane headfirst into the ground.

You can only really appreciate this when your pilot in command and your flying with 0 visibility for a substantial period of time. Only then can you appreciate this advice as you learn how the mind can play tricks on you.

It is the same thing with sports betting although in flying not following this rule will lead to catastrophic results and in sports betting you will only lose your money!
