The Potter’s Clay

The Potter held clay someday and craftily moulded it into a beautiful piece then gave breath. He went ahead and gave a bountiful place that the pot lacks not, that it’s finishing remains smooth and welcoming.

This pot stumbles upon some fire that was deceivingly convincing on a topic that wasn’t really worth the hearing…. That the potter was selfish enough not to allow the pot to be like Him. And just like that, a self inflicted fault rakes shattering the beautiful pot into pieces as it sought to be like it’s master.

How? By rolling on the ground that the master had warned of…. The forbidden tree.

The master in His fullness realises of this and comes around, calling out the pot’s name only to hear a response that the nakedness within couldn’t keep it in the open, hence hiding becoming a necessity.

Boooooom, punishment rakes in and the pot in its pieces is hit with a reality, thay it can no longer have it easy, will have to endure lots of pain and suffering as it seeks to keep itself together, cast into waters that calm not. Yet, it still remains a pot, put together by the Potter.

But, love conquers it all and a while later, the Potter seeks  to reestablish a relationship with this pot that’s lost in its iniquities and transgressions in a world with no order called Earth. He sends His Son to reshape the pot’s world through death on a cross, shedding of blood to save a pot that is at this time lost and helpless.

This pot is precious in the sight of the Potter that even with the pot killing the Potter’s Son, an undeserved death, salvation is given. How does the pot get to own this salvation then? By acknowledging its sins, confessing them and affirming that the the Potter’s Son is Lord and Saviour, turning it’s heart to Him and seeking to walk in His ways all the days of its life. It’s that clear…..

Faith, commitment and hope is key for the pot to keep going, realizing that it’s existence is within the Potter’s mercy whom it should seek to sink deeper in love with, joyful in the path to enjoying and glorifying Him.

The pot needs the Potter all day every day for He is Good, His mercies endure forever. If the Potter took time to mould thee, doesn’t He know what’s best for thee?

Dear pot, just submit to the Potter’s Will, today.
