Sun of Righteousness
There has been much speculation about what the Old Testament prophet Malachi meant by the Sun of Righteousness. Most Christian churches say it is a reference to Jesus. But they say everything they don’t understand is a reference to Jesus. Some say it is a reference to some avenging angel come to destroy the wicked. But God doesn’t send anyone to destroy. Satan is the destroyer.
But it isn’t that cryptic or allegorical. This is one of the few cases in the Bible where what it says is nearly literally what it means. The Sun of Righteousness is the Spiritual Sun. But not just the ordinary Spiritual Sun. You might says it is a special edition of the Spiritual Sun. A spiritual sun that will be the carrier of God’s wisdom and truth for those who truly wish to hear it. It will be a sun that aids those who are truly spiritual and wish to do God’s bidding. But is will also burn the evil out of the world. This will be largely done by changing the way people think. Hopefully, only a few will cling stubbornly to violence, hate, and materialism and be burned to stubble as Malachi says. As Jamil puts it, this sun come to restore order, not to destroy.
Tread Down The Wicked
This statement by Malachi sounds like this sun of Righteousness is bringing violent war to the world. It isn’t. It will be up to the spiritual people of the world to stop the violence of their materialistic brothers and sisters. Hey will do that mostly by helping them to transform as they have. The spiritual will not act with violence against others. The power of the Sun of Righteousness, however, might.
The Reason
By why do any of that? Why not just leave things continue as they are and have been for centuries? Because the material universe is an error. You might call it a cancer on the body of God. Naturally, God doesn’t want the cancer. He wants it cured. He actually cured it as soon as it happened. But because the realm of God and the Sun of Righteousness is outside the jurisdiction of time and space, what might seem like an instant to God can be millions of years on the level of matter.
God’s Revelation
Jamil told us that God’s revelation and knowledge of truth (Gnosis) is found within that Sun of Righteousness. Specifically, the Light from that sun carries that knowledge to us. It also carries the energy necessary to awaken our spiritual faculties. It would benefit all of us to listen to that Light.
