5 Features That Make MacOS Better Than Windows

Which is a better OS according to you, Mac or Windows? We bet you can’t answer this in a snap, right? The debate about which OS is superior than other has been going on since a while. Some may pick Mac and other might say Windows. Well, both Operating systems are exceptionally amazing offering tons of useful features and are unique in their own way.

Like Steve Jobs always used to say “Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition” this enthusiastic drive always helped Apple to lead their way amongst its competitors. If you’re familiar to Macos environment, then we’re sure there are no second thoughts saying that MacOS is nonetheless but an epitome of excellence.

Well, we’re not here to pick sides or judge MacOS or Windows. Here are just a few reasons why MacOS is better than Windows in some or the other way. Also, hoping that Microsoft soon hears it out and include these useful features in Windows as well in near future.

Instant Preview

Mac OS Quick Look window option is pretty useful as it allows you to instantly preview files, documents, active apps by just tapping the spacebar key. Once you get used to this feature on Mac, it’s hard to live without it in case you switch to Windows.

In comparison to MacOS Quick Look window, Microsoft offers Windows Explorer preview but to be frank it’s of hardly any use. We surely hope to see this feature on Windows too! Hope Microsoft hears out our request and include anything of such type in its upcoming updates.

Column View in Finder

A majority of users are not a huge fan of Mac’s Finder. But it’s pretty useful and once of the great features offered by MacOS. The Column view in Finder lists everything in an organized manner allowing you to easily browse files and documents. Navigating files on MacOS is just a piece of cake with finder.

Using Accented Characters

If you take Phonetics and grammar too seriously then you might be aware with Accented Characters, right? Using accented characters on MacOS is way easier if compared to any other Operating system. All you have to do is simply hold down the key for a while until a pop up appears including all possible accents to pick from. If you occasionally use accented characters for work, then this surely gives MacOS an added advantage over Windows.

Hot Corners

This is not one of frequently used features on Mac but is surely a marvel. Hot Corners is an exceptionally unique feature which triggers a specific action once your mouse into any of the corner. You can assign specific actions like a moving mouse in left corner can get into sleep mode or moving it towards right can open Notifications Window and so on. You can take use of Hot Corners however you like it to make your everyday tasks easier.

System Preferences

Handling MacOS settings is way easier if compared to Windows, well thanks to System Preferences. Windows Control Panel is flooded with so many options and it takes forever to search for what you’re looking for. On the other hand, MacOS System Preferences is a neatly organized window which includes bold labels and icons for all settings in a broader view.
