I am Pooja Sherisya, come from Karana village of Rajasthan State in india. I am 26 year old I have been weaving flooring carpets in Karana for the past six years. I am a very reputed and gifted artisan, i am a charming woman and good at telling stories in the group though i am working as laborer, have broad mentality. I live in a joint family of 6 where i live with my in laws. My husband makes car seat covers in the nearby town. I don’t have any child but hopes to have one soon. I and my husband are saving up for a better future. I believe that if you love what you do, you can do it better every time. I got associated with Saraswati Global for last 6 years. I am happy to join the rugs company and thankful to change my economic conditions.

‘My Saga in My own Words’..... I am 35 year old Tara. A very hard working woman. Life has been very cruel to me. I lost my alcoholic husband, who was a truck driver, in a road mishap. Ever since, i have had to fend for myself and my two children. Being uneducated, i took up weaving as a fallback profession after the demise of my husband. This has helped me support my little family. I have been weaving for 8 years now. I have attended a wide variety of training programs organized by Saraswati Global. In addition to this, i have attended many training workshops organized by the state government. An accomplished artist. I am grateful to Saraswati Global a carpet manufacturing renowned company in the field of hand knotted rugs which is operating in four states of India since 1986. Company has transform lives of more than 10000 women through carpet weaving like me.
