In the Age of Myth & Men

About 3 weeks ago I had the pleasure of viewing the movie Troy.
Now I've never read Homer's Illiad which the movie was supposed to be based upon, however the movie translation was a well told tale.

Besides the star power of Brad Pitt and others, and the CGI enhanced battle scenes, Troy spoke to the rapidly deteriorating concept of honor among men. In ancient times not everyone was a warrior. They had a separate warrior class that went out and fought battles, conquered lands, and you had to be initiated into this honorable society. They had codes of honor and rules of engagement.
These men were respected on and off the battlefield.

I'm not saying that everyone followed all these rules and that everyone was honorable, however this group or class of individuals existed and upheld higher standards than most men today.
Men today are afraid of being men. They boast and talk and talk and talk...and they actually end up sounding more like women. I remember the days when you used to fight a guy and then after that you became friends. It was an honorable challenge. Somebody got their ass whooped. The fight was over. And no more talk. The best man won. And you both developed a friendship after because you respected each other after you got the fight out of your system.

Today we live in a society of effeminate men. It seems like women are trying to be more manly and men are trying to be more like women. Why can't every one just accept who they are innately and keep it moving. I never understood the whole bull-dyke lesbian thing either. You don't like men, but you dress like one, find yourself a pretty girl as an arm piece...and even go to the strip joint just like a dude! Even the gay dudes are crazy too. I was watching America's top model show..and there's this flaming dude who teaches all the women how to walk on the runway! So you're telling me that a gay man is teaching straight women how to walk like a female model (supposedly the ideal woman). Maybe I'm the one who dosen't get it. There's a few companies now working on space flights where the average person can go up in space on a chartered flight. I think I'll be the first in line. Suddenly the moon dosen't look like such a bad place to live. I'm out!
