A man's work is never done. Speaking to the competence of our women folk and their ability (or inability) to do mundane task any able bodied Man can do I present this example. I work in he IT department for company XYZ contracted out to government agency ABC. A user, a woman needed assistance with her Blackberry. Using my man brain I proceeded to troubleshoot the issue, fix the problem and flirt with the cute chick in the next Cubicle (a testament to the greatness of my Man brain).While working on the issue, I noticed there was a fumbling and commotion going on with the user I was assisting. “How does this thing go together, I see it say's 1 and 2 for these flaps and the side 3 and 4, do 3 and 4 go on the outside I don't get it” she says, looking quite dazed and confused. Cute girl in the next cubicle, “Um, I think those go on the side some kind of way, girl I don't know”. Finally I figures it was time for me to lend my assistance, “Ok, 1 and 2 have to go in 1st, then 3 and 4 will be your sides, see the handles they are supposed to line up.” The girls, “Oh!!! I see now thanx.” The origami box used for storing files when workers move from cubicle to cubicle and another great man invention (most likely invented by the great and complex minds of Japanese Men) that can only be figured out by a man. Thinking that my job was finished I returning to working on the device. Not even 2 minutes later, “shut, how is his supposed to work, I can't get these on the inside.” To myself: Sigh, “Let me see.” I grab the box manipulate the contraption sideways, 1&2 go in 1st then 3&4 go inside the box to make up the side then the handle openings line up and you have yourself a sturdy origami (made in China?) box. After the lady's 15 minutes of bumbling it took me all of 20 seconds to put that thing together, very satisfying. And also satisfying was the look of awe on the 2 Wimmin's faces, similar to watching the magician guy on Mind Freak rip a man in half or make the Empire states building disappear. And of course the Blackberry was fixed as well, so for anyone taking score: M 2 - W 0, which re-enforces the equation M > F @ …. putting together boxes.
