25th Anniversary of Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games and Paralympics

The Olympic Games and Paralympics were organized in Barcelona in summer 1992, and this year mark the 25th Anniversary. The anniversary will be celebrated through a series of events beginning on July 25th.

On Tuesday 25th July the Olympic torch will be carried to Plaça Catalunya from Montjüic hill, all the way through Barcelona city center. The cortege leaves from Monjüic at 8:30pm and will arrive to Plaça Catalunya at 9:45pm. There will be athletes, representatives of civil society and people from sports field taking part.

Barcelona ’92 images. The Olympic work

This exhibition will show all the greatest photos from the 1992 Summer Olympic Games and Paralympics in Barcelona. It can be seen from 20th July to 26th September at the Diagonal metro station.

The EFE agency has chosen 120 photos for the display. Among the pictures there will be both pictures of the Olympic Games as well as pictures of historical events related with the Olympics and world of sports.
