The biggest event of the summer in Madrid is the two months lasting festival Veranos de la Villa.

Brunch – In the Park

On Sundays 2nd, 9th and 16th of July the Brunch – In the Park is taking place at the Enrique Tierno Galván park. The event in an eggshell: brunch, electronic music and an outdoor party!

The event brings to the park local and international DJ’s. In addition to the music, you can grab something to eat from the food truck zone and have a look on the stands at the design market. There will also be a Petit Brunch area for kids, offering workshops and different fun activities.

Veranos de la Villa

From 30th of June until 3rd of September Madrid will host this new edition of summer festival. The aim of Veranos de la Villa is to share culture with all the citizens from every corner and neighborhood of Madrid. Mission is that the general public enjoys and has fun!

By participating Veranos de la Villa you can enjoy live music, Opera and classics, flamenco, circus and puppet shows, dance, theatre and poetry. Together there will be performed up to 90 activities, taking place at 60 different venues around the city.

Macbeth opera

The classic opera by Giuseppe Verdi, based on William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, comes back to Spain. Tenor Plácido Domingo (born in Madrid, 1941) will be in the main role of the opera. Macbeth can be seen in Madrid’s Teatro Real only on 11th, 14th and 17th of July.

The opera is a tragic story about Macbeth and Banquo, who are generals in King Duncan’s army in England. It’s an opera of perverse prophecies that come true, and it describes ambition for power and its disastrous consequences.
