Good morning online congregation, Y'all this is fascinating. The widespread ignorance of basic Bible knowledge by Christians allows such utterly misleading headlines to fan the flames of anti-Christian nonsense. Some say that they didn't have an idea that the story of the woman caught in adultery isn’t in the original manuscripts. I learned this about 20 yrs ago. My understanding is it was kept because it underlined true grace through Christ. Even more fascinating is why its absence didn’t matter to the early Church. That "most famous" line about "judge not lest you be judged" has never been part of that story and is not from John's gospel, at all. It is found in Matthew 7:1 and Luke 6:37 (In both cases, that "famous line" was undeniably part of the original writing.
