Reader, Hip-hop artist and spoken word poet Jackie Hill-Perry recently came under fire for a speech she made at Emerson Hall at the Harvard College campus. Just a little highlight on what happened.
She was expected to speak at an event hosted by a Harvard religious group HFCA (Harvard College Faith and Action.) Whose intention was not to draw controversy but to simply have an event. Protestors from LGBT at Harvard showed up and protested against her speaking. And prior to that hundreds of folks signed a petition to keep her from speaking.
According to online source, Jackie hadn't called anyone out their name, she hadn't said or done anything remotely offensive. The only thing that was offensive and that HAS always been offensive is the gospel. For those of you who don’t know Mrs. Jackie Hill Perry used to live a homosexual lifestyle, until one day she met the Savior, The Redeemer of everything that is broken within us. Now she is married to Preston Perry with a beautiful daughter.
