Sin, Salvation & Anew

With only a few weeks for us until "Easter".  We have to ask ourselves about sin and salvation.  For those that don't know you have been saved by "Jesus Christ" who died for our sins to give us salvation.  As most know one of the most quoted verses in the bible is.

John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."  "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."

When I think about it, that was a very high price Jesus had to pay for you and me to be saved.  This week I decided to sit down with my bible and ask God to show we what He wanted me to see on sin and salvation.  What came across my path was the book of Acts and Romans.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 4:12 "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

After reading the first few pages in the book of Acts.  Peter speaks of all these things for those that were lost in sin would come to receive the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ and live in sin no more, but in God.  That is when I was lead to the book of Romans.

Romans 6:4-7 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection. 6. knowing this that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7. For he who has died has been freed from sin.

Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation.

Of course a light goes on in my head.  A reminder of where I use to be and where I am now.  For I have been made free from sin and made anew many years ago when I decided to fully commit my journey with Him.  May this be a great reminder of HOPE to those that have not found "God"and to those that already know Him a reminder of how great a savior "Jesus" is.

I know that sometimes when people talk or write on sin and salvation it comes across harsh with condemnation.  That is why I allowed the gospel of the bible to speak for itself and the Holy Spirit to guide me in my writing.  For I am not perfect because I still live in flesh.  But I also can't keep the news of the gospel to myself.  For God asks us to share what we know with others.

With that in mind if you are not a follower of Christ and want to be.  I suggest picking up a bible and reading it for yourself in order to make a decision of what you want for your life journey with Him.  At times we can allow sin to keep us in bondage and away from the great life we can live in
Him anew.

Many Blessings,
