My small group had a great study on the Holy Spirit last night. The Holy Spirit is the one that inspired the Bible, and is the one that helps us understand it.
If we go to the Bible with our own agenda and pre-conceived ideas, we will find stuff to support what we’re looking for, but we may miss the heart of God.
Remember that the pharisees diligently studied the scriptures, and even quoted scriptures as they plotted the death of God’s son, and decided what to do with the ‘blood’ money that Judas gave back.
When you read the Bible today, make sure you you make room for the Holly Spirit to inspire you too.
