The Dead sea/Salt sea - known as the lowest dry point on earth - was once as lush as the garden of Eden. But +-4000 years ago four Cities, Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboin were destroyed by fire and brimstone.
In Ezek 16:49-50; "See the crookedness of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, sufficiency of bread, and unconcerned ease. And she did not help the poor and needy.
Abomination in Hebrew means - perverted, sick, disgusting, repulsive, putrid and vile...
A 90 degree angle object rarely occurs in nature - but on this Plato two identical, elongated pyramids highlight the entrance to the temple in Gomorrah. They are identical in length, height, width and angle of incline - its an impossible coincidence for a natural rock formation.
Deu 29:23; "All its land is sulfur, salt and burning; it is not sown nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrew of Sodom an Amorah, Admah and Tseboyim, which Yahweh overthrew in His displeasure and His wrath."
The Gazelles goes to the Plato's for a nutritional treat - Salt. These are the natural mineral salt lake Moses spoke of. Mineral salts from the bodies of the incinerated inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah continue to leach to the surface, even after 4000 years. They also found this at Hiroshima - salt was all that was left after the people were vaporised by the explosion. Lots wife turned back to the city, and became, not a literal pillar but a memorial of salt.
Legends that the four cities were submerged at the south-end of the dead sea are proven wrong! Moses record that cities remain as brimstone, salt and ashes. It was also visible in the times of Peter and of Josephus. For many years people looked in the wrong places and found nothing. It was discovered exactly were the Scriptures indicated - along the western shore of the salt sea in the Dead sea valley plane.
Read Gen 13:10, Gen 14;1 + Gen 10;19 - The borders of the land of Canaan - it only could have been a border if the cities were along the Jordan river valley, not grouped together at the south end.
The brimstone found here are unique to this part of the earth. It consists of 95.72 percent sulphur and 3 trace metals - if burned it can generate enough heat to melt stainless steel.
This sulphur still burns after 4000 years - you can see a black oozing mass burning with a purple flame.
One is unable to breath the poisonous gasses emitted from the burning brimstone. Inhabitants of these cities would have been rendered unconscious, dying a painless death. Even in Judgement our Creator is Merciful!!
2Pet 2;6; "...and having reduced to ashes the cities of Sodom and Amorah condemned them to destruction - having made them an ensample (greek)to those who afterward would live wickedly..."
An Ensample is a visible example - A WITNESS FOR THE LAST DAYS!
Lot remained righteous in a sick, twisted and perverse world. So must we also stay righteous in these last days.
YHWH is a Righteous Judge!! He will not judge without fair warning - consider this fair warning:
Rom 1: 26-28; "Because of this Elohim gave them over to degrading passions. For even their women exchanged natural relations for what is against nature, and likewise the men also, having left natural relations with woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing indecency, and receiving back the reward which was due for their straying. And even as they did not think it worthwhile to possess the knowledge of Elohim, Elohim gave them over to a worthless mind, to do what is improper.......list"
