Earnestly seeking the LORD.

Scripture:
All in Judah were happy about this covenant, for they had entered into it with all their heart. They earnestly sought after God, and they found him. And the Lord gave them rest from their enemies on every side. – 2 Chronicles 15:15

Observation:
King Asa faced many large armies during his reign. He faced a vast army of Ethiopians numbering at least 1 million soldiers. Asa and his army trusted in the LORD to deliver them, which he did and routed this hoarde. He trusted solely in the LORD and instituted religious reforms in Judah to the point that people of the tribes in Israel began moving into Judah. They experienced 10 years of peace from their enemies.

Application:
When we try to take matters into our hands and not rely upon the LORD, we will find ourselves facing dire situations with dire consequences usually following. How long will it take us to learn to do what Gods word has already told us to do? How much trouble do we have to inflict upon ourselves before we get it in our heads that without God nothing is possible, but with Him all things are possible to them that believe in him and trust in him.

Do you want to experience in all areas of your life? Then let’s learn to seek after the LORD as King Asa and all Judah did! He blessed them for their faithfulness. He will do the same for us. It is really is that easy!!!

Prayer:
Father, help me to put all my trust in you and to rely solely upon you! Forgive me of rebellion and selfishness. I desire no one else in my life above you. You are my rock nd my fortress and my shield. May your will be done. In the name of Messiah, Yeshua, amen.
