I had given up. After a great visit to Doublechora with our friends from Red Bend (fantastic people), the car got stuck in a bad way, as you can see in the photo. First we tried to push, with which the car sank even more. The next thing was to put stones before the tractor wheel; nothing. And again; nothing. The Red Bend kids went from actors to spectators. And I confess that after a while, I did too. You had to dig out from under the car, put more stones in front of the wheel in the shape of a ladder ... Too much for my little cheer up. But there were Cotrim, Ashley and a man from the tea plantation who passed by. Little by little, like little ants, helping themselves with sticks and their own hands, they did what was impossible for my little faith. When after an hour of work the car left the quagmire, I felt like hugging the three of them and thanking them for taking us out of the hole, but above all for the lesson of perseverance and faith that they had just taught me. And all this for free, like the love of God.

Yo ya me había dado por vencido. A la vuelta de una estupenda visita a Doublechora con nuestros amigos de Red Bend (gente fantástica), el coche se me quedó atascado de mala manera, como puedes ver en la foto. Al principio intentamos empujar, con lo cual el coche se hundió más todavía. Lo siguiente fue poner Piedras Delante de la rueda tractoras; nada. Una y otra vez; nada. Los chavales de Red Bend pasaron de actores a espectadores. Y confieso que después de un rato, yo también. Había que sacar tierra de debajo del coche, poner más piedras delante de la rueda en forma de escalera… Demasiado para mi poco ánimo. Pero allí estaban Cotrim, Ashley y un señor de la plantación de té que pasaba por allí. Poco a poco, como hormiguitas, ayudándose de palos y de sus propias manos, consiguieron lo que era imposible para mi poca fe. Cuando después de una hora el coche salió del atolladero, me dieron ganas de abrazarles a los tres y agradecerles habernos sacado del hoyo, pero sobre todos la lección de perseverancia y fe que me acababan de impartir. Y todo esto gratis, como el amor de Dios.
