2017 has been one of the most intense years that I have ever lived. I think that never in my already long life had so many things happened to me and especially so many new things. I'm not threatening you with telling you my life here, of course, but I do want to share a sentence that somehow marked and gave a purpose to everything else. This year I have caught a variety of viruses, bacteria, infections and even falls, which I will not list. Brother Martí, a community Brother, says that when I go out I catch all the available diseases at hand. After several of these episodes, Sister Annie, a Bangladeshi nun who took care of me in the dispensary, told me: "God loves you very much, that is why he puts you to the test". How many times in my life have I felt that God Loves me ... Thousands! But Sister Annie's words were a turning point in my year. God loves me very much, God loves me very much. 2017 besides many other things, and very important ones, would have been the year in which God sent me an angel (a messenger) to tell me how much he loves me.

El año 2017 ha sido uno de los más intensos que jamás haya vivido. Creo que nunca en mi ya dilatada vida me habían pasado tantas cosas y sobre todo tantas cosas nuevas. No voy a amenazarte con contarte mi vida aquí, claro está, pero sí quiero compartir una frase que de alguna manera marcó y dio sentido a todo lo demás. Este año he atrapado virus, bacterias, infecciones e incluso caídas variadas, que no voy a enumerar. El H. Martí, compañero de comunidad, dice que cuando salgo por ahí voy atrapando todas las enfermedades disponibles a derecha e izquierda. Después de varios de estos episodios, la hermana Annie, una monja bangladeshi, que me atendía en el dispensario, me dijo: “Es que Dios te Quiere Mucho, por eso te pone a prueba”. Cuántas veces en mi vida he sentido que Dios me quiere… ¡miles! Pero las palabras de la Hermana Annie fueron un punto de inflexión en mi año. Dios me quiere mucho, Dios me quiere mucho. 2017 además de muchas otras cosas y muy importantes, habrá sido el año en el que Dios me envió un ángel (una mensajera) a decirme lo mucho que me quiere.
