Crazy Like Paul

I remember one time, myself and the Worship team decided that instead of having Thursday evening rehearsal we would have Thursday evening evangelism. We broke off into groups and went all about Jamaica, Queens unloading a box of flyers into the hands of unexpecting pedestrians lol.

At one point, I was with one of the worship singers walking near a busy bus station. As we gave flyers to everyone we could, there was one Young Lady who politely declined the flyer from the Worship Leader I was with. Do you know what the worship leader did in response? She looked at the young lady square in the face and sternly said "TAKE THIS FLYER FROM ME!"

I could have fainted 😂 but then, to my surprise, the young lady took the flyer and had a look on her face that seemed relieved that the worship leader had forced her to take her flyer. I honestly, to this day, cannot comprehend the logic behind what it is that happened there, but it just reminds me of Paul.

Paul was a very aggressive.... ummmm... murderer 😳🤦🏾‍♀️. Then by the time God got through with him, God seemed to have fixed Paul's compassion but did not change his passion. In the letters written by Paul throughout the New Testament, Paul was not an easy leader. The guy would just tell the people what they needed to hear whether they liked it or not. He yelled sometimes, rebuked, and corrected, left, right, and center and all these teachings made it to the Bible. Why? Because Paul's intentions were to help people; not to expose them and not to hurt people.

As God chisels away at us, He's going to perfect our affections in a way that lines up with the desire He has for His people. Who knows? That's probably the process we're all going through. All of our personalities contribute to God's plans for His Kingdom, whether we know it or not, but our hearts and minds must be lined up with God's will. Now, I can do a part 2 to this because I have stories for days (lol) but I probably won't. I just wanted to write this to say that we should let God help us to be able to see people and circumstances from his vantage point.
