Embracing The Journey

“Embracing your Transformation” is what I have based my entire blog on. Sitting and thinking today, “What does that even mean?” I have based my being on “embracing your transformation” but I wanted to dig a little deeper to find the foundation to what I hold so strongly to. I wanted to dig past the surface, which is the name, and hit the core of it. I wanted to find the heartbeat, the thump of it, and make sure that I moved in sync with it.
God revealed the name after prayer. Without hesitation I ran with it. It’s funny how we choose when we want to trust and when we want to question. I trusted God, as He unveiled so much to me. He painted a perfect picture and webbed the Journey that I would embark on. God doesn’t always work like that, and sometimes, He just says it and we are to stand. Sometimes standing is not always easy, especially when you don’t see or understand the journey. It feels as if it is sometimes easier to trust people than to trust God. With me even saying that, it turns my stomach. Many times, I trust a friend or a family member solely on their words. But when God speaks, I move in hesitation, waiting on Him to reveal to me this mystery. Looking for the big boom or the big miracle to allow me to trust. It is as if I am saying, “I trust you God on the condition that you show me.” I often feel like I’m God’s narrator and I can hear Him saying “Have I not done enough? The moment that I blew on your body and told you to wake, was that not enough? When I could have allowed you to drown but I stopped the flood from rising above your head, was that not enough? When I didn’t allow you to die when the enemy wanted to snatch you, was that not enough?”
Digging a little deeper will scuff up things that you didn’t even know were present. Digging a little deeper scuffed up my trust with God. While I trusted God about my blog, I now see there are areas that I still question.
This is the beauty of embracing your transformation. You’re not proclaiming to “arrive” but you are embracing where you are. You are accepting the process and moving with the transformation. While embracing, you’re not stagnated, but you are searching to grow more. You are allowing your roots to grow deep so that you are rooted and built up in him. This transformation is the most beautiful thing that I have ever encountered! I can see beauty unfold before my eyes.
This transformation is not easy, but God never said it would be. What He promised is the arrival would be worthwhile.
I found peace while reading Proverbs 3:5-6; Colossians 2:7; 2 Corinthians 5:17
While in the journey link up with like-minded people. Find a church home, become active in your church, fellowship with friends who are on the same journey. Embrace this journey with a friend who will hold you accountable. Most important read the Word and create a relationship with God!
