As a young girl I loved observing the starry night sky with my telescope. I saw sun spots, patterns on Mars and Jupiter, and I looked closely at a few colorful, bright stars. As fascinating as that was, I was more interested in the patterns the constellations made against the dark sky. Of course I knew about the 12 main, so called zodiac signs in astrology. Thankfully, I'd learned that it came from Satan.
Years later I discovered the purpose in those patterns. If you've never heard of the Mazzaroth then you're in for a great discovery. Whether you know about it or not, read on because you may learn more about this amazing subject. Just understand that God's fingerprints are all over it. First, let me give you the short version of the definition of 'Mazzaroth'.
Mazzaroth is the Jewish word for the pattern of stars found on the celestial equator or ecliptic. The 12 constellations are the only ones that can be seen from both the northern and southern hemisphere. Also there are 3 decans for each of the 12. The ecliptic is the annual path of the sun among the stars. It is basically a picture book in the heavens that reveals the gospel of grace. And the names of the stars help write the godly narrative.
Psa 147:4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
The following verses seem strange and mysterious until we understand the purpose for the creation of the Mazzaroth:
Psalms 19:1-14 KJV
(1) The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
(2) Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
(3) There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
(4) Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
(5) Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
(6) His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
Now I want to take you to the earliest known text (that I know about) containing the word Mazzaroth:
Job 38:31,32
Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
If you know anything much about astronomy then the Pleiades and Orion should sound familiar to you. Here are two pictures to refresh your memory:
Pleiades

From much research, I now believe this beautiful cluster represents the 7 churches in Asia. Read about them in Revelation 2.
Orion
Orion, a constellation on the celestial equator, contains two of the brightest stars in the sky – Rigel and Betelgeuse – several famous nebulae such as the Horsehead Nebula, and one of the most known asterisms in the sky – Orion's Belt.
Job 9:9 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
Amo 5:8 Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name: (kjb)
I believe that it is significant that Orion and Pleiades are mentioned together three times in the Bible. There are plenty of myths surrounding this giant star pattern in the sky. While researching I have found these possible meanings for Orion: Hunter, Shepherd, and Shining Forth as Light. I believe it is a representation of our great Shepherd and Deliverer-Jesus Christ. The star Betelgeuse means-the coming of the Branch. And the Bible reads:
Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
Jeremiah 33:15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
Zechariah 3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
Zechariah 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
Though Satan has tried to make a false narrative out of His-Story in the stars it has survived and been handed down through the generations-orally and in written form. The gospel was written in the stars before the Bible was ever written down. Of course it was more like a picture book-the stars being the pictures by connecting the dots, and their original names telling the greatest story ever told! Yet the master deceiver and counterfeiter-Satan- used pagan astrologers to corrupt the true symbolism behind the constellations, sun, moon, and other planets.
Ki 23:5 And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven. Satan has attempted the same thing with the Bible. By using ungodly men, he has distorted the words of God through perverse versions that leave out or add to the Bible. It's time to not be ignorant of Satan's devices or plans. We know he came to steal, kill, and destroy. Let's reject his fake news, false narratives, and reconstructed history. Let's seek the true Keeper of the stars.
