come to the water, all you who are thirsty🎵

Come to the water, all who are thirsty, come and see🎵

Have you ever found yourself in a situation that can only be described as a drought. A dry spell. Where everything around you doesn't make sense, you don't like your job. You find it hard to connect with God, your problems are blocking your view and relationships around you maybe falling apart. You feel so alone. Angry. Fed up. Kind of like you on a train track of life but there are no stations in sight. Does that make any sense to you. It can be difficult to focus on the Lord when your mind in compacted with what's going on or whose hurt you or something youve heard and its digging itself deep inside your brain. We all face these kinds of situations, where God can feel a million miles away. When really he's right there next to us and all we got to do is turn and talk to him.

On the other hand ✋ have you ever been so involved in the presence of God that everything around you seems to have muted itself, and all you can hear is your voice and feel the peace and presence of God wrapped around you. Incredible right. That overwhelming peace and joy that comes from God almighty is a treasure that nothing on this planet can compare too.

In the word when Jesus speaks to the Samaritan woman he doesn't say to her go back get your life perfect then come and have living water. On our own We will never be perfect in the eyes of God. We all fall short of his glory. But. Thanks to his perfect son Jesus Christ, we can be washed clean by his blood. His ultimate sacrifice means we can be seen perfect by God and build that relationship with him with utter freedom. For who Christ sets free is free in deed. Hallelujah right. Amen.

I just love that story, it brings hope for us all. Because jews had nothing to do with Samaritan people. And Jesus not only spoke to a samaritan woman, but out of all the places he could of sat or got a drink he sat at the very well samaritan people drew water. After all his disciples did go into town to buy food. Why didn't Jesus? Why did he sit there? I see it as the beautiful love story of our God started to unravel for the rest of us. Jesus sitting at the well was a divine moment where he can give a hint that a day is coming where it wouldnt matter where you worship God, or who you are. What truly matters to God is our praise and worship from the heart, a worship in spirit and in truth. An indication of the advocate that was to come throughout the earth and guide us in our persuit to the living water found in the messiah, Jesus himself. Beautiful right. Thank you Jesus.
Maybe in your life you've been rejected in some form, or looked down on, saw as worthless, not good enough. I certainly have. That sort of thing is what made it hard to accept God's acceptance in me over the years. But God is good and very patient with us. Thank you Lord.

Don't allow the enemy to decieve you into thinking you got to earn your right with God. If that was the case we'd never get anything. We are sinners. And through Christ sinners saved by his blood. Just like the isrealites were saved by the lambs blood on their door posts when the Angel of death came to take the first born in Egypt. God is a generous God, loving and kind. He has stacks of blessings and gifts he longs to share with us. His word says all we got to do is ask, believe and recieve. God isnt waiting with a microscope to catch you in the moment you fail him. So he can send down his bolts of wrath... No no no. He's just waiting for you to accept his invitation to a relationship with him so he can pour his living water, his spirit, his love grace and mercy. To bless you. To work wonders in your life. To glorify himseld to the world through you. Can you imagine the awesome things God could do in your life, to benefit you and the world around you. Come on, moses was used to rescue isreal from Egypt, Eshter was used to become queen to save the jews from a horrible genocide. David was used to defeat the impossible and show the glory of God by the death of a well known and feared giant. And Jesus was used to save mankind. Paul was stopped on the road to Damascus, and transformed there and then to do the mighty work of God. All these people weren't celebrities, they were ordinary humans, even Christ came down to live a life of a carpenters son, he could of come as a king. But he came in a low form and the word even says he wasnt attractive. But that's not the point. My point is, it doesnt matter who you are, what youve done, how qualified you are, what job you have. God will and wants to use you. Will you accept him invite. Come to the water.

Lets pray.
Thank you lord for your invitation to mankind. Thank you that you are fond and interested in us tiny humans in your vast creation. Praise God. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for your patience in our life. Thank you for you acceptance. Lord please use me in your master plan. Help me trust you more and more and you lead and guide me, from one step to another in the path set before me. Fill me Lord with your spirit and truth. Fill me to overflowing so i can over flow to those around me. So they can get a thirst for your living water. In jesus name. Amen.
