The times we are in presently are hard times. People are desperate for success and how the success is achieved is not meant for public consumption. Believers who call upon the name of God are not excused from going through hard times as well. As a matter of fact, the pressure believers go through is constantly on the rise when compared to non-believers.

As long as we live and breathe life’s natural air, we will go through tough times. But be rest assured that our example ‘Jesus Christ’ wasn’t spared of his own share of challenges when he came to earth as a man. When it was time for him to be killed, he had to go to the garden to seek the face of the Father because his natural ability or strength was beginning to fail him. He said ‘father, if it is thy will, let this cup pass…’ the first thing Christ did during his moment of travail was to seek the face of the father.
Most times, we are trying to get out of difficult situations with our natural abilities. We end up relegating the all knowing God to the bench thinking that the challenges we go through far outweighs him. When we seek the face of God like Christ, God releases strength upon us through the ministry of the angels; just the same way Christ was strengthened at the garden of Gethsemane.
Christ went through all and conquered all for our sake. He had to go through, in other to come through for us. Your breaking-point is actually your break-through point. Stop trying to gain control over something that is beyond your abilities. Allow Jesus take the wheel and see how the situation will turnaround for your good.
At the time you feel like giving up, most especially at your darkest moment, it is a time when God’s power is about to be made manifest. We were told how Apostle Paul besought the Lord concerning the challenge he was facing. I was thinking that God will help him overcome the challenge but to my greatest surprise, God responded by telling him how sufficient his Grace is for him. Without the Grace of God, (unmerited favour) we will struggle through life.
Before Christ died on the cross, he cried out to the father but the father didn’t pay attention to his cry because so challenges are meant to toughen us up. Some challenges are meant to make us stronger and better equip so as to help others out of their own challenges. Christ announced on the cross that it is finished but we have to apply ourselves to the principle of the finished work before we can fully enjoy the grace that was released on the cross of Calvary.
Grace will allow you go through life well. It converts your challenge to your change. It doesn’t allow you go through the pain alone. Even when your detractors decide to mock you all the way down to your destination just as it was done to Christ on his way to the cross, you will always triumph over your enemies.
The quickest way out of any challenge is to apply the principle of thanksgiving. Thanksgiving releases grace i.e. it takes you to the throne of Grace. Thanksgiving puts you at the mercy seat where grace is released even though you are least qualified for it. Be a thankful person today.
Tough times build tough men indeed
